"In our day to day actions, it is often the small and simple things that will have a long-lasting impact. What we say, how we act, and how we choose to react will influence not only ourselves but also those around us. We can build up, or we can tear down." -Per G. Malm

Saturday Mornings

(Peaceful music playing) Ahhh. Saturday Mornings. How great it is to sleep in all cuddled up next to your husband. How great it is to have a lazy morning with a yummo brunch because you've only been up since 9:00 and 10:00 is the perfect brunch time. Yeah. (Skreek, Music stops abruptly). Yeah I wouldn't know. It is because we have an early riser. 6:00 or if we're lucky she sleeps in til 6:30. And actually who knows when she really gets up because that is when she is knocking on her door (from the inside) to let us know she wants out. "I awake" we hear. But not this morning. We kept hearing her try to open her door. She'd get it open then you'd hear the thud as it would close again. Then finally no thud and a little 3 foot figure standing in our door. (Good thing nothing was happening.) But on the bright side how fun was it to have her crawl into bed with us and give us good morning hugs and kisses. And when we finally decided we would definitely not be getting any sleep we got up and made the bed together as a family (sans the baby) and had family prayer. Then we made breakfast together as a family. Emily and Brock made the orange juice and the biscuits (they were from a can). While I made the sausage and gravy. Now don't be too excited. Its only because we were out of cereal. But nonetheless it was a very good time.

I don't remember if I commented. But this so reminds me of my house but both my kids can open the door so...we are always cautious. But it sounds like you made the best of it anyway.
