"In our day to day actions, it is often the small and simple things that will have a long-lasting impact. What we say, how we act, and how we choose to react will influence not only ourselves but also those around us. We can build up, or we can tear down." -Per G. Malm

Ever Growing

Pardon me a proud parent moment. My little Em is not so little and is growing up so fast. A couple of weekends ago she just started saying all the animal names, she picked up two new signs (stop and go), accredited to baby Einstein, and has added pickle, taco, and snuggle to her vocabulary. Oh yeah, and "ashes" when she plays ring around the rosie with her baby doll. And today she said her first two sentences. She said "where's the ball?" and "there it is" once she found it. Her new favorite thing to do is to climb into her booster seat high chair and buckle and unbuckle herself. Which really means she buckles herself in and starts loudly protesting because she can't get it unbuckled and screams until someone does then buckles herself back in. What a vicous cycle. It is so fun to watch her grow up. It is also scary.
Since the "stair stymie" entry we have now taken down gate. This all came because she learned how to squeeze between the railings on the stairs and was trying to straddle the gate to get down. I figured it was much safer to take the gate down then have her try to get over it and break her head open. But she is doing much better going up and down with out being watched like a hawk.

I can't wait until Kenny starts saying words I can understand... he has gotten quite good at jibber jabbering and pointing at what he wants. He is very good at telling on sister even with out saying a word that we can understand.

It's amazing how much children grow from 1 to 2. It seems they do things in leaps and bounds and every day there is something new to celebrate them doing. Em is such a little cutie I just love her! You know if Sam doesn't work out, I have Noah as a potential husband.
